Duck and Cover
Duck and Cover is a media-rich, interactive magazine story that gives an overview of the Cold War with a focus on the film "Duck and Cover."
This magazine story was created as a student project.
The timeline pages in the interactive PDF provide a glimpse of major events in the Cold War along with supporting images and related articles. Rolling over each year reveals the events of that year, and rolling over an image reveals its caption.
Interior pages contain the remainder of articles begun on the timeline and showcase both images and videos. Again, a rollover of each image reveals a corresponding caption.
Navigation in interior pages allows readers to continue within an article or to easily return to the timeline.
